Melanoma and Live Cell Therapy

One study on immune modulation using thymus gland extract was performed on a group of patients with early stage melanoma. Interestingly, there were no significant benefits seen regarding the immune reaction to the cancer or in a lengthening of the disease-free period. This study did show that the overall survival rate was nearly twice as long compared to melanoma patients who did not use thymus extract.
